Above is a dress that I draped for Porthouse’s production of  Anything Goes  in 2018. As you will see in the following pictures, this dress will take quite a journey.  Photograph by Porthouse Theatre.
 The original design for this dress was much different than what ended up on stage. Here we have the first mock-up fitting. The dress originally cut under the bust and had a belt that crossed in the front. After this fitting I took some of the fullne

 After first dress, the director, Terri Kent, said that the dress just did not have the wow factor it needed.  This dress was created for the “Anything Goes!” song that is the finale to Act I.  After discussing with the designer, I offered to make an
 Here is the bodice before I bagged out the lining to finish the edges of the bodice.  In addition to creating a new bodice, I recut the skirt so that it stopped at the waist.  This was made easier by the fact that I always mark the natural waist in
